English Translation
(1) O Lord! Born in the lineage of Kausalya! O Scion of Kausala!
O One whose abode is most beautiful, adorned with Sri (Lakshmi)!
O Ocean of mercy, whose heart is moistened with compassion for devotees!
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(2) Having placed the thumb on the bow and arrow,
With beautiful smiles that captivate the hearts of noble people,
While your brother Shatrughna blows the conch,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(3) "O Lakshmana! When I have attained the daughter of Janaka (Sita),
Enchanted by her beauty, how could you let
Ravana remain alive?" — Thus you think,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(4) Vibhishana, whose morning rituals were obstructed by the sound (of your arrival),
Who lives on the outskirts of the city, has noble intentions,
Is pleased with you and speaks sweet words due to his affection,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(5) "O Long-lived one! O Friend! O Sita! O Brother! O Lakshmana!
I am well; this has been decided by you, and the kingdom too,
Welcome without fear, for I am grief-free,"
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(6) "O Janki (Sita)! Without you, my dear, I cannot live,
If the night passes fruitlessly, O one engaged in daily activities!
Awake, O noble one! O Vishvamitra! O Goddess!"
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(7) "O Son of Bhrigu! O Bestower of auspiciousness! O Abundant! O Lord of fame!
Hearing you, O King, I have arisen auspiciously!
Without the kingdom, I am completely free from sorrow,"
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(8) Your excellent qualities are praised by many,
O Means of attaining all virtues! O Refuge! O Refuge!
Even the hosts of demons fear you, O Lord of enemies!
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(9) This elder brother of the Supreme Lord, the remover of devotees' sorrows,
The beautiful Jatayu who received your grace,
Says, "May Rama always protect me," so speak you,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(10) "Ocean! Lanka! Sun! Moon! Earth! Best of birds!
Mountain of monkeys! Best of monkeys! Dadhimukha! Vanara!
Hanuman!" — hearing these words is indeed a delight to the ears,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(11) Every day, worthy of your lotus feet,
The auspicious sounds from the ornaments on your anklets,
Mixed with the beauty beloved by the bee-like eyes,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
(12) With Sita's glances worthy of making new buds bloom,
With love and acts dear to the beloved of the pure-hearted,
This passionate one desires to rise at the dawn hour,
Sri Rama! Good morning to you.
