tahasvaruuPaaya tapodhanaaya
tapahalaanaaM pratipaadakaaya |
adaa kumaaraaya himaaramaNariNe
tRuNiikRutaishvarya viraagiNe namaH || 5 ||
namo' Astu tubhyaM sharajanmanae vibho
prabhaataa-suaraaNadantapaMktaye |
baalaaya chaabaalaparaakramaaaya
shaaNMaataraayaalamanaturaayaa || 6 ||
miiDhuShTamaayottaramiiDhuShe namo
namo gaNaanaaM patayae gaNaaaya |
namo' Astu te janmajarAatigaaya
namo vishaakhaaya sushaktipaaNayae || 7 ||
sarvasya naaThasya kumaarakaaya
krauNcaarayae taarakamaarakaaya |
svaaheya gaaNgeya cha kaartikaye
shaaivaye tubhyaM satataM namo' Astu || 8 ||
English Translation
(1) Agastya said:
Salutations to the six-faced one, worshiped by multitudes,
Whose lotus feet are like nectar-giving clouds,
Of immeasurable prowess, source of joy in Parvati's heart.
(2) Salutations to you, destroyer of the distress of the surrendered,
Maker of all desires of the mind,
Giver of chariots to the crossed-over, slayer of the demon Taraka.
(3) To the formless and formed, of thousand forms,
To qualities and beyond qualities, to the supreme beyond supreme,
To the immeasurable, to the beyond beyond,
Salutations to you, rider of the peacock.
(4) Salutations to you, bestower of boons to knowers of Brahman,
Clad in space, standing in the ether,
Golden-hued, golden-armed,
Salutations to the golden one, golden-thighed.
(5) Of the form of austerity, lord of austerity,
Fruitioner of austerities,
Ever youthful, destroyer of enemies,
Conqueror of prosperity, detached, salutations.
(6) Salutations to you, born of arrow, Lord,
Like the morning sun in a row of rays,
A child and yet of wondrous prowess,
Mother of six, not narrow.
(7) Salutations to the most excellent, to the more excellent,
Salutations to the lord of the hosts, to the troops,
Salutations to you, born to conquer birth and death,
Salutations to the brilliant one, mighty-handed.
(8) To the youthful son of the Lord of all,
Slayer of the Krauncha mountain, killer of Taraka,
Of the Swaha lineage, son of Ganga, son of Kartikeya,
Of the Shaiva lineage, constant salutations to you.

गुणाय गुण्याय परात्पराय |
अपारपाराय परापराय
नमोऽस्तु तुभ्यं शिखिवाहनाय || ३ ||
नमोऽस्तु ते ब्रह्मविदां वराय
दिगम्बरायाम्बर संस्थिताय |
हिरण्यवर्णाय हिरण्यबाहवे
नमो हिरण्याय हिरण्यरेतसे || ४ ||
तपःस्वरूपाय तपोधनाय
तपःफलानां प्रतिपादकाय |
सदा कुमाराय हिमारमारिणे
तृणीकृतैश्वर्य विरागिणे नमः || ५ ||
नमोऽस्तु तुभ्यं शरजन्मने विभो
प्रभातसूर्यारुणदन्तपङ्क्तये |
बालाय चाबालपराक्रमाय
षाण्मातुरायालमनातुराय || ६ ||
मीढुष्टमायोत्तरमीढुषे नमो
नमो गणानां पतये गणाय |
नमोऽस्तु ते जन्मजरातिगाय
नमो विशाखाय सुशक्तिपाणये || ७ ||
सर्वस्य नाथस्य कुमारकाय
क्रौञ्चारये तारकमारकाय |
स्वाहेय गांगेय च कार्तिकेय
शैवेय तुभ्यं सततं नमोऽस्तु || ८ ||
