brahmovacha
stavanam samavedoktam suryasya vyadhimocanam
sarvapapaharam saram dhanarogyakaram param || 1 ||
tam brahma paramam dham jyotirupam sanatanam
tvamaham stotumicchami bhaktanugrahakaram || 2 ||
trailokyalocanam lokanatham papavimocanam
tapasam phaladaram dukhadam pabinam sada || 3 ||
karmanurupaphaladam karmabijam dayanidhim
karmarupam kriyarupam arupam karmabijakam || 4 ||
brahmavishnumaheshanamashcha trigunatmakam
vyadimdam vyadiharam shokamohabhayapaham
sukhadam mokshadam saram bhaktidam sarvakamadam || 5 ||
sarveshvaram sarvarupam saksinam sarvakarmanam
pratyaksam sarvalokanamaprathyaksam manoharam || 6 ||
shashvadarashaham paschadrashadam sarvasiddhidam
siddhisvarupam siddishesh siddhanam paramam gurum || 7 ||
stavarajamidam proktam guhyadguhyataram param
trisandhyam yah pahen nityam vyadhibhyah sa pramucyate || 8 ||
andhyam kushtam cha daridryam rogah shoko bhayah kali |
tasya nashyati vishvesha shrisuryakripaya dhruvam || 9 ||
mahakushti cha galito cakshurhino mahavarni |
yakshtagrasto mahashuli nanavyadiyuto 'pi va || 10 ||
masam krutva havishyam shrutvato mucyate dhruvam |
snanam cha sarvatirthanam labhate natra samshayah || 11 ||
English Translation
Brahma said:
The hymn told in the Sama Veda, which removes the diseases of Surya,
The essence that removes all sins, bestowing wealth and health, the supreme. || 1 ||
That Brahman, the supreme abode, the form of light, the eternal one,
I wish to praise you, who cause grace to devotees. || 2 ||
The seer of the three worlds, the lord of the worlds, the remover of sins,
The giver of fruits of asceticism, the abode of sorrow for the wicked always. || 3 ||
The giver of fruits according to actions, the seed of action, the treasure of compassion,
The form of action, the form of ritual, the formless, the seed of action. || 4 ||
Possessing the aspects of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara, the embodiment of three gunas,
The giver of disease, the remover of disease, the remover of delusion, attachment, and fear,
The giver of happiness, the giver of liberation, the essence, the giver of devotion, the fulfiller of all desires. || 5 ||
The lord of all, the form of all, the witness of all actions,
Manifest to all the worlds, unmanifest to others, pleasing. || 6 ||
Always giving taste, giving taste afterwards, giving all Siddhis,
The form of Siddhi, the lord of Siddhas, the supreme guru of the accomplished. || 7 ||
This hymn called Stavaraja has been told, more secret than the secret, the supreme,
Whoever reads it at the three twilights daily is freed from diseases. || 8 ||
Blindness, leprosy, poverty, disease, sorrow, fear, and Kali,
All these certainly perish by the grace of Sri Surya, O Lord of the universe. || 9 ||
The great leper, the one with swollen throat, the one without eyes, the great wound,
The one consumed by tuberculosis, the one with great pain, even though afflicted with many diseases, || 10 ||
Having made a fire offering for a month and having heard this, one is certainly freed,
One obtains the bathing of all holy waters; there is no doubt in this. || 11 ||

स्तवनं सामवेदोक्तं सूर्यस्य व्याधिमोचनम् |
सर्वपापहरं सारं धनारोग्यकरं परम् || १ ||
तं ब्रह्म परमं धाम ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम् |
त्वामहं स्तोतुमिच्छामि भक्तानुग्रहकारकम् || २ ||
त्रैलोक्यलोचनं लोकनाथं पापविमोचनम् |
तपसां फलदातारं दुःखदं पापिनां सदा || ३ ||
कर्मानूरूपफलदं कर्मबीजं दयानिधिम् |
कर्मरूपं क्रियारूपमरूपं कर्मबीजकम् || ४ ||
ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेशानामंशं च त्रिगुणात्मकम् |
व्याधिदं व्याधिहंतारं शोकमोहभयापहम् |
सुखदं मोक्षदं सारं भक्तिदं सर्वकामदम् || ५ ||
सर्वेश्वरं सर्वरूपं साक्षिणं सर्वकर्मणाम् |
प्रत्यक्षं सर्वलोकानामप्रत्यक्षं मनोहरम् || ६ ||
शश्वद्रसहरं पश्चाद्रसदं सर्वसिद्धिदम् |
सिद्धिस्वरूपं सिद्धेशं सिद्धानां परमं गुरुम् || ७ ||
स्तवराजमिदं प्रोक्तं गुह्याद्गुह्यतरं परम् |
त्रिसंध्यं यः पठेन्नित्यं व्याधिभ्यः स प्रमुच्यते || ८ ||
आंध्यं कुष्ठं च दारिद्र्यं रोगः शोको भयं कलिः |
तस्य नश्यति विश्वेश श्रीसूर्यकृपया ध्रुवम् || ९ ||
महाकुष्ठी च गलितो चक्षुर्हीनो महाव्रणी |
यक्ष्मग्रस्तो महाशूली नानाव्याधियुतोऽपि वा || १० ||
मासं कृत्वा हविष्यांनं श्रुत्वाऽतो मुच्यते ध्रुवम् |
स्नानं च सर्वतीर्थानां लभते नात्र संशयः || ११ ||
