abhiramagunakara dasharathei

jagadakadhanurdhara dhiramate |

raghanayaka rama ramesha vibho

varado bhava deva dayajaladhe || 6 ||

avanitanaya kamaniyakaram

rajanikaracharumukhamburuhama |

rajanichararajatamohiromamaha

niyamaham raghuramamaye || 7 ||

sumukham suhrdam sulabham sukhadam

svanujam cha sukhayamamoghasharam |

apahaya raghudhvahamanyamaham

na kathamcana kacanam jatubhaje || 8 ||

vina venkatesham na natho na nathah

sada venkatesham smarami smarami |

hare venkatesha prasida prasida

priyam venkatesha prayaccha prayaccha || 9 ||

aham durataste padambhojayugma

pranamechchyagata sevam karomi |

sakritasevaya nityasevaphalam tvam

prayaccha prayaccha prabho venkateshah || 10 ||

ajnanina maya doshanasheshan vihitan hare |

kshamasva tvam kshamasva tvam sheshashilashikhamane || 11 ||

English Translation

O Lord of the Venkata hill, whose chest is always marked with the saffron of the breasts of Kamala,

Whose body is incomparably dark like a blue lotus,

O Lord of the world, whose eyes are like lotuses, be victorious,

O Lord of the Venkata hill, be victorious. || 1 ||

O Lord of Vrisha hill, who is worshipped by the four-faced Brahma and the six-faced Skanda,

Who is the foremost among all deities,

O refuge of those who have surrendered, O ocean of mercy,

Protect me, O Lord of Vrisha hill. || 2 ||

By me, through great delusion, having committed hundreds of offenses

That are difficult to bear for you, O Lord of Vrisha hill,

Please protect me quickly with your supreme grace,

O Hari, Lord of Vrisha hill. || 3 ||

On the excellent Venkata hill, which is most agreeable

To those who desire abundant giving, praised by the scriptures,

Worshipped by other deities as the supreme,

O Lord of the Venkata hill, please favor me. || 4 ||

With flute-like arms, embracing the cowherd women,

Always engaged in millions of acts of remembrance, a billion in number,

Pleasing to everyone, the bestower of happiness,

O Lord of the Venkata hill, please favor the daughters of Vasudeva. || 5 ||

O possessor of admirable qualities, O descendant of Dasharatha,

O support of the universe, firm in wisdom,

O Raghunayaka, O Rama, O Ramesha, O Lord,

O bestower of boons, O god, O ocean of compassion. || 6 ||

With pleasing limbs, whose wife is beautiful,

Whose body is like a blue lotus, who is the enemy of Ravana,

Who is the supreme lamp for the darkness of the world, the great one,

May I be esteemed, belonging to Raghurama. || 7 ||

Pleasant-faced, kind-hearted, easy to approach, bestower of happiness,

Brother Lakshmana, the unerring arrow, bestower of well-being,

Having abandoned Raghu's carrier (the chariot), I am not someone else,

I do not worship anyone else in any way. || 8 ||

Without Venkatesha, there is no lord, no lord,

I always remember Venkatesha, always remember,

O Hari, Venkatesha, be pleased, be pleased,

O Venkatesha, give me what is dear, give. || 9 ||

I have come from far away with the desire to bow

At the pair of lotus feet of yours,

I perform service; by service once, give me the eternal fruit of service,
